Nicholas Adamopoulos was born and raised in Webster, Massachusetts in Southern Worcester County. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting with a Finance concentration from North Carolina State University in 2009. Nicholas then returned to Massachusetts and received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School (2012), and his LLM in Taxation from Boston University Law School (2017).

After being admitted into the Massachusetts Bar (2012), Nicholas worked for a law office in Boston that focused on a wide range of tax controversy, business matters, estate planning, probate, and white-collar criminal defense. This experience allowed Nicholas to gain a wide range of experience dealing with matters concerning the Internal Revenue Service (including auditors, revenue officers, and special agents), the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Appellate Tax Board, and United States Tax Court. Nicholas also worked on white-collar criminal defense matters concerning tax crimes in the US Federal Court.

Further, with his education background and prior work experience, Nicholas has extensive estate planning experience. Nicholas has assisted clients with successfully planning their estates and the tax ramifications certain estate planning choices may bring.  Nicholas has drafted simple and complex Wills, a multitude of different Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, HIPAA agreements, and Health Care Proxies. Additionally, Nicholas can assist the heirs through the probate process, whether it concerns a simple, informal, or formal probate filing.

Nicholas brings passion to his representation of clients and vigorously advocates for the rights of his clients. Nicholas’ work experience, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of the law allow him to provide his clients a wide range of services.

Nicholas also has represented a wide range of individuals concerning criminal defense matters. He has experience throughout Worcester County defending clients who have been charged with numerous crimes including OUI, OUI-Drugs, Drug Possession, Drug Distribution, Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Larceny, Breaking and Entering, Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card, Possession of Large Capacity Firearms, Restraining Order/Abuse Prevention Order Violations,  and Probation Violations.

Nicholas has also represented several entities navigate the up and coming adult use cannabis industry. Nicholas has assisted these groups with negotiations with local municipalities, selectman groups, and planning boards. He has also assisted in preparing the necessary policies and plans to be presented to the Cannabis Control Commission for provisional and final licensure. Nicholas has represented cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, and retail establishments and has a strong knowledge of the ever changing state regulations to ensure that his clients are in full compliance with the CCC.
